She was extremely helpful when I asked for assistance and feedback with college applications. Never discouraging, she provided insightful explanations. For one of my essay prompts, I completely missed the point of the question. She helped me rewrite and to attack the prompt in a different perspective. She explained different ways to make the essays better. I was able to rewrite my answers to best answer the application prompt. She helped me with my essays and she can help you too!

First, I want to say that if it wasn’t for Mai, I don’t think I would’ve gotten into graduate school. Because of her help and direction, I was able to take the time and effort needed to find my voice and create a draft I was proud of. At first, it was uncomfortable getting someone to read my work; I’ll be honest, I probably wrote something terrible. But Mai never left me feeling discouraged. She communicated with me in a professional manner and encouraged me to get down to the basics. Everything was smooth sailing after that because after two weeks, I finally saw improvements in my writing.
I believe Mai can help you develop your writing skills in whatever way you need. If I can get into the #1 graduate film school by just asking for her help, I think you will definitely reach your goals if you just reach out to her too!
